Amplify Advisors is looking for two or three summer interns for AmplifyTech. The desired outcome would be full time employment as an ERP Associate Functional Consultant (entry-level) in the Fall of 2024.

Entry-level candidates with an MBA or a bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, accounting/finance should consider this opportunity an excellent fit for the start of their career.

A successful Associate Functional Consultant will have:

You will learn and assist in the implementation of NetSuite and Acumatica for our clients.

Working on our Client Experience team and working closely with Sales, Delivery Operations and Executives within Amplify should excite you as collaboration is one of our core values.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Interact with clients and present custom demos, working along side the sales team. You will be responsible for critical activities with our clients directly.
  • Understand client requirements and create scope documentation
  • Responsible for configuration and customization of the applicable client ERP as per the functional requirement document prepared by our Senior Business Consultant
  • Quick and adaptable learner
  • Open-minded for discussions and promoting team collaboration
  • Well organized and able to meet project deadlines
  • Able to take initiative, responsibility, and ownership of your projects
  • An understanding of accounting 101, like debits and credits, chart of accounts, accounts payable and receivable processes, and trial balances

A day in the life of an Associate Functional Consultant:

Work with a Senior Business Consultant/Project Manager using Agile methodology, work closely with the team to assess client needs, develop solutions, and implement them to the Client’s satisfaction.

You will communicate changes and prioritize change management and the Client’s culture.

You will be prepared to advise on best practices.

You will be prepared to advance business process improvements that will amplify the use of NetSuite for the Client and support the Client’s growth strategies.

You will be responsive to opportunities for other service lines of Amplify that will help the Client.

You’ll work with the Account Manager and sales team to bring such opportunities to the Client.

As a consultant, nothing will matter more than the culture and Client Experience that you communicate, market, and develop a business around.

The Associate Functional Consultant will be prepared to learn:

  • Functional and technical knowledge of an ERP such as NetSuite and Acumatica or other accounting software used by small and medium business
  • Leverage an MBA or a bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or accounting/finance to bring efficiency to implementations
  • Understanding relational databases and understanding process flows and business requirements will be essential to success in this role
  • Interest in developing expertise in business process analysis and design
  • Passion experience in client service (including non-technical student jobs that included customer or client interactions)

The role is full time (40 hours/week), remote/work from the home (anywhere) position. Occasional visits to clients or team events will be required.

Candidates can be based anywhere in Western Canada and there will be travel expected as we serve Western Canada.

We anticipate a start date around May 1, 2024.

Amplify Advisors is seeking a Recruiting Consultant in Edmonton and Vancouver to join our epic Recruiting Services team based out of Calgary.

This service line aims to relieve hiring pressure for our clients by quickly sourcing permanent and temporary accounting and finance professionals from our trusted network. 

The three key characteristics of our Recruiting Consultant include: 

  1. strong client service mindset and ability to enhance candidate experience 
  2. passion for and enjoyment of networking and business development  
  3. strong understanding of various accounting/finance positions 

The successful candidate will also have personal experience in various accounting/finance positions to be able to more simply comprehend both client needs and candidate skillsets.  They will be excited to learn about our various service lines (Fractional CFO/Controller, Consulting, Tech, and Recruiting) and identify client needs and speak to the various solutions/offerings accordingly.

Other role fundamentals include:  

  • Identify, meet and qualify new candidates, and contact with opportunities / outcomes of roles they are presented for.  
  • Help maintain Applicant Tracking System (ATS) with with candidate qualifications, resume, meeting notes and details of what Candidate is looking for. 
  • Help maintain Customer Relationship Management system (CRM) with client prospecting activity, qualified sales leads, associated meeting notes/activities, and confirmed contracts/agreements.
  • Innate ability to understand clients’ role requirements and culture and match qualified candidates or contractors accordingly.  
  • Ensure contracts and terms are properly drafted and completed and monitor adherence to contract terms/hours.  
  • Assist in delivery of the relationship strategy for business affiliates, clients and candidates.  
  • Business development focus and driving sales in recruiting services as well as our other service lines. Prospecting and meeting with potential and existing clients 
  • Support the BD/Sales manager and Amplify Finance Leaders with any opportunities that require sub-contractors 
  • Support in all internal Amplify hiring/recruiting 
  • Attend external and internal events that focus on accountanting/finance professionals 
  • Help organize and facilitate monthly continual professional development (CPD) sessions designed for finance/business leaders. 
  • Serve as Relationship/Account Manager to client on temporary contractor placements, monitoring contractor hours, deliverables and performance/feedback.
